Miranda do Corvo is a pretty market town and Municipality in Central Portugal, it has a population of about 13,000 and is in the district of Coimbra. The name translated; means View of the Corvo, the Corvo being a River. The surrounding areas are hilly, forested, and stunningly beautiful, there are rivers, lakes, and any amount of picnic and BBQ spots, to take advantage of.
